Manuel Antonio National Park starts 6.7 km from downtown Quepos. It is small, it is busy, and it is the easiest place in Costa Rica to see a sloth. Three things decide your visit:
- Ticket first. SINAC sells entry only online, roughly two months ahead, with a daily limit. How to buy it.
- Tuesday is closed.
- December 2026: Tuesdays 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29
- January 2027: Tuesdays 5, 12, 19 and 26
- Go early with a guide. The park opens at 7:00 a.m.; the first two hours have the most wildlife.
